Description
ESD
Spring balancer Kromer 8230040001. Load capacity 3 to 5 kg, working travel 2000 mm.
What is an ESD balancer used for?
ESD means electrostatic discharge. An ESD balancer suspends a tool and reduces handling effort at workstations where sensitive electronic components are assembled, inspected or repaired. Its antistatic design and grounding allow it to be integrated into an electrostatic discharge protected area, known as an EPA.
Conductive construction with an integrated grounding connection for electronics production and assembly workstations.
Choose the model for your workstation
Include the entire suspended weight: the tool, its holder and any parts carried with it. This total must remain within the model’s load range. Then select the working travel needed for the task and check the mountings and accessories specified for this reference.
Installation and ESD continuity
Grounding and electrical continuity of the complete assembly must be checked in accordance with the operating instructions and the workstation’s ESD control plan. An ESD balancer alone does not make a workstation compliant. ESD qualification does not establish ATEX suitability: for an explosive atmosphere, choose an ATEX reference suitable for your installation conditions.
