Balancers for heavy tools and welding guns
Applications
Support a welding gun, assembly fixture or industrial tool as it moves around the workstation. Select the balancer for the complete suspended weight, required travel and operator controls.
Define load and clearance
Weigh the equipped tool, cables, couplings and suspended accessories. Record working positions, available headroom and clearance around the housing. Similar references may use different constructions and have different unit weights.
Select useful controls
A drum lock used when working on the unit and a floor-level operating control serve different purposes. B, B1 or BC controls and F, RI or RC devices are offered only for compatible references. Select factory options with the unit.
Consider movement and operating conditions
For a rotating tool, check the appropriate swivel device. State electrical insulation requirements separately. Spatter, temperature and any ATEX requirement must be checked for the selected version; load capacity alone does not establish suitability.
