Balancers for food-processing workstations
Applications
Support cutting, preparation and packaging tools while accounting for workstation hygiene. Food-industry versions use specific materials and construction details that must be checked for each unit.

Describe cleaning and material requirements
Specify cleaning products, frequency and exposed parts. Housing, cable and hook materials, along with lubricants, are part of the selection. A Food or Rust-free designation alone does not define the complete cleaning procedure.
Select load range and travel
Include the tool, couplings and all suspended components. Measure travel between the pickup point and working positions. The suspension must allow access to the work area within the specified cable travel.
Adapt the suspension to the task
Small retractors and load-compensating balancers provide different movements. For heavier tools, consider floor-level locking where available. Check attachment points and access for maintenance.
References illustrating different designs
These examples cover different capacities and movement behaviours. Enter your load and travel in the selector before choosing a configuration.
Questions to help you choose
Are Rust-free and cleanroom requirements equivalent?
Corrosion resistance, cleaning and cleanliness requirements must be specified separately. Describe your process and workstation requirements.
How can GEDO help select a version?
Provide weight, travel, cleaning method and mounting constraints. GEDO can help compare documented versions for the task.
