Nederman balancers
Balancers · GEDO selection
Nederman 810 and 831 balancers cover two distinct needs: tool suspension at the workstation and support over a longer travel. Compare load, stroke and cable type.

The brand and its applications
The 810 series provides several load ranges for work tools. The 831 models have an 8 m stroke and a centrifugal return brake. Selection must account for the application and routing, particularly when suspending an extraction hose.
Ranges to compare
810 · lightweight tools, nylon cable
References 30800110 and 30800210 cover lightweight loads, with a 1.6 m stroke.
810 · steel-cable versions
For the other 810 load ranges, with a 2 m stroke. Select the range matching the total suspended weight.
831 · long 8 m stroke
Two load ranges, 5–11 and 7–15 kg, for indoor applications requiring long travel.
Choose for your workstation
Supported weight and resting position are not sufficient for selection. Check the full travel, fixing points and resistance from hoses or connections. The first two 810 models have a nylon cable and 1.6 m stroke; the other 810 versions in the catalogue have steel cable and 2 m stroke.
Frequently asked questions
Can an 831 replace an 810?
Not automatically. Stroke, return brake, load and application must match the workstation. A series number alone does not establish equivalence.
Do all 810 models use the same cable?
No. Nylon cable is used on lightweight references 30800110 and 30800210; the other catalogue versions use steel cable. Check the exact product page.
What information is needed for an extraction hose?
The suspended section’s weight, couplings, moving length, travel and fixing points. The balancer must suit the complete system.
Tell GEDO what you need
