Options, environment and express dispatch: specify the right configuration
Once load, travel and tool behaviour are defined, build the configuration around the actual workstation: locking control, rotation, ambient conditions and the required date.
Understand the options before ordering
Option codes depend on the range and full reference. A brake, floor-operated locking control and rotary device perform different functions.
B: locking and unlocking from floor level
This control operates locking or unlocking from the workstation when the balancer is installed overhead. Check availability for the selected model. It does not replace load adjustment.
B1: reinforced floor-level control
B1 identifies a reinforced locking and unlocking control on specific series. The presence of option B on another unit does not establish B1 compatibility.
F: drum rotation brake
The friction brake controls drum rotation speed. This serves a different purpose from floor-operated locking. Select it for the required movement and availability on the exact reference.
RI: rotary and insulating device
RI, reference 70477 on the applicable standard series, combines rotation and insulation. It is different from RC. Its insulating function does not demonstrate ATEX or ESD suitability.
BC: floor-operated locking control
BC, reference 7190000004, provides floor-operated locking and unlocking on specific specialised ranges. A documented example is the ESD 9502ES–9509ES and 9520ES–9525ES series. BC is also documented for ATEX 9502AX–9509AX and 9520AX–9525AX. The BC code is not automatically equivalent to B or B1.
RC: rotary device
RC, reference 7270000004, is a rotary device for the series designed to accept it. Documented ESD examples are 9354ES–9359ES, 9502ES–9509ES and 9520ES–9525ES. RC is also documented for ATEX 9354AX–9359AX, 9502AX–9509AX and 9520AX–9525AX. Rotation, insulation and electrostatic discharge protection are separate functions: visual similarity does not make RC and RI interchangeable. For an ATEX installation, the complete configuration, including accessories, must be checked against the workstation conditions.
Factory options, accessories and spare parts
Specify options and accessories when ordering the balancer. Options B, B1, F and other configuration devices cannot be added later to a unit that was not designed to receive them. A spare part used to repair an existing configuration does not automatically convert another balancer.
We also supply spare parts. To identify them, provide the full reference, serial number and a photograph of the rating plate, plus the item number from the exploded drawing if available.
Cable extension or air hose kit?
A cable-end extension adds available suspension length; it does not change the balancer’s working travel. An air hose kit supplies a pneumatic tool: check its internal and external diameters, maximum pressure and exact compatibility. These are different types of accessories to select together with the unit.

Describe the working environment
| Your environment | Information useful for selection |
|---|---|
| Indoor workshop | Temperatures, dust and substances present at the workstation |
| Outdoor installation | Temperatures and actual exposure of the installation |
| Food industry or frequent cleaning | Cleaning products, temperatures and method |
| Workstation sensitive to electrostatic discharge | The installation’s ESD requirements |
| Potentially explosive atmosphere | Zoning, substances present and documents required for the reference |
Outdoor, Food, ESD and ATEX ranges address different requirements. Select using the documentation for the complete version, including proposed accessories. A stainless steel cable alone, for example, does not establish the suitability of the entire device for an environment.
If the workstation combines several requirements, describe them together in your quote request. We can then assess the complete configuration and its combined requirements.
Separate express dispatch from arrival
GEDO express dispatch applies to eligible references in the standard GEPRO range. It provides for dispatch in one week instead of fifteen days. Transit follows dispatch, so this option alone does not establish a delivery date.
Request express dispatch for the complete configuration, including associated accessories. The surcharge is 20% on the balancer and its configured accessories; transport is separate. Other Tecna ranges do not have this express service.
Provide the information needed for a complete offer
Include the complete reference or selection criteria, quantity, required functions, workstation conditions, destination and desired arrival date. To identify a replacement part for an existing unit, attach a photograph of its rating plate. These details allow the balancer, options, accessories and schedule to be assessed together.
