Tecna offers cable and hose balancers for industrial workstations, including ranges for ATEX, ESD, food and outdoor applications. The Tecna selector also includes Tecna-made models sold under GEPRO.
The brand and its applications
Tecna ranges allow tool suspension to be matched to workstation requirements. Cable type, materials and operating environment complement load and stroke selection. Standard GEPRO models and specialised ranges remain accessible within the same Tecna search.
Ranges to compare
ATEX balancers
For explosive atmospheres. Load, stroke, marking and options must meet the requirements of your zone.
ESD balancers
For tool suspension at a workstation controlling electrostatic discharge. An ESD version does not imply ATEX certification.
Food applications
Versions intended for food-industry workstations. Compare the materials and cleaning conditions given on the product page.
Outdoor applications
For workstations exposed to outdoor conditions, within the operating limits of each model.
Hose balancers
The hose supports and supplies the pneumatic tool. Check internal diameter, connections and working pressure.
Synthetic cables and Dyneema
An alternative to metal cable where the workstation requires it. Select the exact material and load range for the reference.
Choose for your workstation
For an ATEX zone, start with the exact reference marking and your installation’s gas or dust requirements. At an ESD workstation, electrostatic discharge control is a separate requirement. For food or outdoor applications, check the materials and operating conditions of the chosen version.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the Tecna selection show GEPRO?
The relevant standard GEPRO models are manufactured by Tecna. They therefore appear in a Tecna search, while their product pages retain the commercial brand and reference.
Do ESD and ATEX address the same requirement?
No. ESD concerns electrostatic discharge at the workstation. ATEX concerns use in explosive atmospheres. Choose the appropriate version and check the reference-specific documents.
Where do I select options and accessories?
On the chosen model’s product page. Available options depend on the reference; factory devices must be selected with the balancer. Cable-end extensions do not alter working stroke.
